One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. – Romans 14:5
We have all heard the cliche - "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink."
Have you ever wondered why the horse refuses to take a sip? I believe it is because he has made up his mind not to.
Our mind determines our thoughts and our thoughts dictate our actions. Nothing will happen in your life or mine unless we first make it happen in our mind.
The reason many of us are not seeing the breakthroughs we’ve been praying about for years is partly because we haven’t made up our mind that we will. We vacillate between belief and unbelief.
James told us that a double-minded person is unstable in their ways. (James 1:8) Instability leads to doubt, frustration, and inertia.
Unbelief, like fear, stops us cold.
Even though we pray about something and get confirmation from God that it is His will for us, it will never happen until we can actually believe it and wrap our mind around it.
God blesses what we do, but will not do it for us.
Remember this - leaders who think they can, might. Leaders who decide they can, will. It's all in our mind!
I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear. – Rosa Parks
