God will renew your strength and your courage will increase as you trust Him through the hard places. There will always be that last battle before your breakthrough.
There will be many battles but there will be that one, that one that will either make you or break you. That one where you just want to flat-out give up.
As one now not far from being on the other side, but nonetheless on the other side, I say to you, don't let this break you. When people walk away, no matter how much you love them, let them go. Their part in your story is over. Hold on to God and your vision, not people and their provision.
When you're down to nothing, trust God for the next something. When you don't know what to do next, just do the next thing. Do what you know to do and wait on God. Don't whine, don't complain.
Get up every day, wash your face, thank God for a new day and it could be day after day after day of nothingness. Just keep doing the next thing. Don't rush ahead of God and tell Him what He already knows - that if He doesn't do something, you can do nothing. Day in and day out. The same nothingness.
But then one day... one day, you get an email out of nowhere, or a phone call, attend another meaningless meeting -- or so you think. The rest will be history.
Life is better for me than it has been in a long, long time. Cleaner. Simpler. More profitable. More fun. No pressure. Every need now met with blessings on the horizon.
I didn't have to do a thing but keep trusting, believing and waiting on God through barren days, boring days, non-profitable days; and, many lonely days.
When you're down to nothing, trust God for the next something. It will be incredible.
I am more courageous than I've ever been. But in a different way; shedding the mask, no longer trying to fit in or please people or trying hard not to upset the wrong people - letting go of fake people and living as simply and as minimally as possible.
I do not do drama, and I'm not trying to be anywhere I don't want to be. Whether it's hello or good-bye, my level of joy and peace are the same. I am now exactly where I want to be, prayed to be, and I am thankful.
It will always be that one last battle. You will recognize it because it will try you like none other. It will cause you to want to quit, give up on your dream and cause you to think you have missed your best life and opportunities.
You haven't. Don't let this break you. Your blessing and breakthrough are on the other side of the battle. You will win if you don't quit.
